Autism & Special Needs
Since the autism spectrum is so broad, every client is unique and will require a different amount of care; we think these are essential principles to keep in mind while dealing with and helping clients with the disorder.
Some clients may require more support than others, so our interview and evaluation process is used to determine the level of support required before any support plan is put in place. We have worked with many service users with autism and are prepared with the knowledge and experience to train our staff to the standard required when working with Rafiki Healthcare and a service user.
Our care team is skilled at challenging handling behaviour, autism spectrum disorders, complex medical requirements, physical limitations, and sensory impairment.
You can rest assured that all of our staff are rigorously vetted; your child’s safety and well-being is our number one priority. We carefully select the right team to provide your child with the necessary continuity of care.
We believe it is important for a client’s family to have as much or as little involvement in day-to-day care of their loved one as they or the client feels the need, and our support is always extended to the immediate family. We will work closely with a client’s family to understand their autism, learning disabilities, or associated complex needs.
